Training Course – Castelseprio 30 August to 12 September

The training course organised by the university of Padova in Castelseprio (northern of Milan) runs from 30 august to 12 september 2021) and includes croatian as well as italian students.

During 14 days students are being trained in archaeological urban and rural landscapes in the fantastic frame of this archaeological site, Unesco World heritage since 2011. Main activities include stratigraphical excavation, stratigraphical analysis of standing buildings and  study of the sorrounding landscapes through remote sensing and cartography. 

There are also specific practical activities devoted to cataloguing and drawing archaeological material and architectural sculpture.

During the summerschool students are also collaborating with schools of the territory developing a project regarding the values and meanings that local communities give to cultural heritage and in particular this UNESCO site.

Different public and private  local institutions (soprintendenza, communication and didactics enterprise Archeologistics) collaborate also in the project.
